At the core of our company, the Agriculture and Crop Production division embodies a modern and sustainable vision of farming. In a global context marked by climate challenges, growing food demand, and limited natural resources, we position ourselves as a committed player in transforming the agricultural sector.

Agricultural Transformation at the National Level

Algeria is undergoing an agricultural revolution, driven by a strong political will to modernize the sector. At the recent National Agricultural Conference (October 2025), Minister Yacine El‑Mahdi Oualid announced ambitious objectives: increasing cereal yields to up to 35 quintals per hectare in the coming years, compared to about 18 currently.
Additionally, the expansion of irrigated areas is central to this strategy: Algeria aims to increase irrigated land from 2.1 million to 3 million hectares, a key lever to boost productivity and resilience to water stress.

Technological Innovation as a Driver of Progress

We strongly believe that the future of agriculture relies on cutting-edge technologies. Key trends include:

  • Precision agriculture: Using AI, IoT sensors, drones, and satellite imaging to collect real-time data on soil health, moisture, nutrients, and crop conditions. These data feed predictive models that indicate when to irrigate, fertilize, or intervene, optimizing inputs and reducing waste.
  • Digitalization and data-driven decision making: As Minister Oualid emphasized, it is essential to “restructure the sector and leverage modern technology.”
  • Smart farming platforms: IoT, AI, and satellite imaging interact to automatically manage agronomic actions, ensure traceability, and improve overall efficiency.

Towards Sustainable and Resilient Agriculture

Our strategy goes beyond productivity: we aim to build a sustainable, regenerative, and resilient agriculture.

  • Collaborating with the FAO, we strengthen efforts to build robust agri-food systems in the face of climate change.
  • Promoting agroecological practices: reducing chemical inputs, using organic fertilizers, practicing crop rotation, and using bio-stimulants to improve soil health and biodiversity.
  • Water management: adopting modern irrigation techniques (drip, smart irrigation) to save water while maximizing yields.

International Cooperation and Agronomic Innovation

We participate in international partnerships to accelerate innovation: a cooperation program between Algeria and South Korea will begin in 2025, providing R&D resources and training workshops.

Unlocking Untapped Agricultural Potential

Algeria has a largely untapped agricultural potential: only 3.6% of the national territory is cultivated, according to recent official data.
By modernizing infrastructure and supporting innovation, we aim to unlock this potential, ensuring food security, creating jobs, and strengthening agricultural sovereignty.

Commitment to the Future

Our ambition is to develop an integrated agriculture model: smart, sustainable, and high-performing, capable of meeting today’s needs without compromising tomorrow’s resources. We invest in innovation, training, green technologies, and strategic partnerships, aiming for productivity, resilience, and environmental stewardship.
